post B quarter three week five

This post is going to be a rant on the Russian government during World War I. It is truly sad in my mind that the Russian Czars had to be sooooo stupid concerning war. Perhaps I don't necessarily believe that a dictatorship is exactly how a nation should be run, but honestly, the guy stopped military research that would have saved Russian lives and would have prevented Germany from defeating Russian forces despite being outnumbered by a ridiculous amount of people. It would be understandable if guns and artillery weren't proved extremely deadly and accurate, but they had! The guy believed that despite multiple wars that were being fought with rapid fire guns and not rifles, the bayonet was the only way to win a war. Their main strategy in combat was to flat out charge the enemy positions with large sums of troops. The machine gun made those charges utterly futile with barely any enemy losses. But had Russia developed machine guns and refused to use tactics that would kill masses of their men, they would have easily defeated Germany because of the shear number of well equipped troops.
